Top 10 Led Zeppelin Songs

Lists

You can't have a reasonable discussion about the all-time greats of Rock without mentioning Led Zeppelin.  Their unique, heavy sound and incredible musicianship inspired practically every band after them.  They're also one of the few bands whose success can be attributed to every single member, each playing a key role: Robert Plant on vocals, Jimmy Page on guitar, John Paul Jones on bass, and John Bonham on drums. Their simple sound could still fill the entire room.

It's true: probably their most famous track "Stairway to Heaven" has become somewhat of a cliche song for guitar players; the song still rocks and cracks our list, which shows just how deep of a discography Led Zeppelin had.  In addition, there are so many great, bluesy songs that we couldn't fit in our Top 10 list.

Here's our list of favorite Led Zeppelin songs:

Honorable Mention (#11): Ramble On (Led Zeppelin II)

10: Fool In The Rain (In Through The Out Door)
9: Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin IV) - Arguably one of the greatest classic rock song of all time.  Rolling Stone lists this song as #31 in their Top 500 Greatest Songs (http://www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/the-500-greatest-songs-of-all-time-20110407/led-zeppelin-stairway-to-heaven-20110525)
8: The Ocean (Houses Of The Holy)

7: Over The Hills And Far Away (Houses Of The Holy)
6: Whole Lotta Love (Led Zeppelin II)
5: Misty Mountain Hop (Led Zeppelin IV)
4: Heartbreaker/Living Loving Maid (She's Just A Woman) (Led Zeppelin II) - I must group these two tracks together because the flow is so smooth from song to song. (Spotify Free users: hopefully "the man" doesn't decide to slip a commercial between these two tracks, lol)
3: Good Times Bad Times (Led Zeppelin) - Track 1 on their first album; it doesn't get any more quintessential than that.
2: What Is And What Should Never Be (Led Zeppelin II)
1: The Lemon Song (Led Zeppelin II)
